  2. Learn to Shuck

    • Date and Time: Saturday and Sunday, multiple sessions (10:30-11:30 AM, 12:30-1 PM, 1:30-2:30 PM)
    • Get hands-on experience in the art of shucking oysters with expert guidance. These interactive sessions are perfect for both beginners and enthusiasts.
  3. Spelling Bee
    • Location: Wellfleet Library
    • Date and Time: Saturday, 2:30 PM
    • Test your spelling skills in the OysterFest Spelling Bee, a fun and educational event that’s perfect for the whole family.
  4. Wellfleet Library Speaker #1
    • Location: Wellfleet Library
    • Date and Time: Saturday, 11:30 AM
    • Speaker: Dwight Estey
    • Topic: “Wellfleet’s Resident of Fame – The Oyster”
    • Join Dwight Estey as he delves into the fascinating history of the oyster in Wellfleet. Learn about the oyster’s role in shaping the town’s identity.
  5. Wellfleet Library Speaker #2
    • Location: Wellfleet Library
    • Date and Time: Saturday, 1 PM
    • Speaker: Damon Wei (MA Oyster Project)
    • Discover the conservation efforts and the future of oysters in Massachusetts with Damon Wei from the MA Oyster Project.
  6. Oyster Shuck Off
    • Location: Main Stage in the Town Hall Parking Lot
    • Date and Time: Saturday and Sunday, 1 PM
    • Witness the intense competition as shuckers go head-to-head to determine who can shuck the most oysters in record time. It’s a thrilling event you won’t want to miss.

  • 2:45 PM – Rip It Ups (R&B, Rock, Blues, Soul & Swing):
    • The afternoon groove continues with Rip It Ups, serving up a mix of R&B, Rock, Blues, Soul, and Swing that’ll have you dancing.

Sunday:

  • 10 AM – Sarah Burrill (Poetic, Original, Blues, Rock, Folk):
    • Enjoy the poetic and original tunes of Sarah Burrill, who blends elements of Blues, Rock, and Folk into her music.
  • 11:15 AM – Woof Woof Meow (Original Ska, Reggae, Funk, New Wave):
    • Woof Woof Meow takes the stage with their unique fusion of Original Ska, Reggae, Funk, and New Wave, promising a musical journey you won’t forget.
  • 2:45 PM – Dirty Water Dance (Rock & Reggae-Soul Ensemble):
    • End your OysterFest experience on a high note with the captivating Rock & Reggae-Soul Ensemble performance by Dirty Water Dance.
